Calcite is one of the most common minerals in the world and is primarily used in the pharmaceutical industry due to its high calcium content. Because of this composition, it is believed to have excellent healing effects on bones, which led to its German name "Beinbruchstein" (bone-break stone). A unique feature of calcite is its double refraction, which gave rise to its variety, called "Doppelspat" (double spar). Due to this special property, pure crystals are also used in the optical industry. This Mangano Calcite gets his Pink colour from the Elememtn MANGAN. It is a natural effect during millions of years.
