Released in 2021 for Ardbeg Day, Scorch is a heavily charred Islay single malt matured in intensely toasted ex-bourbon American oak casks. This Committee Release edition was bottled at higher strength and is significantly more sought after than the standard version.
Tasting profile:
Nose: Explosive smoke, soot, aniseed, grilled herbs and dark chocolate
Palate: Intense peat, charred oak, black liquorice, spicy vanilla, tar and roasted notes
Finish: Long, smoky, dry with lingering oak spice
This bottle has been carefully stored upright in a temperature-stable, dark environment. Fill level is excellent and packaging is in collector-grade condition.
