Description:
Rare original studio photograph from the late 19th century in the form of an albumen print mounted on card (cabinet card), produced by the renowned studio G. Denyer, St. Petersburg.
The photograph depicts the prominent Russian-Armenian marine painter Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky (1817–1900) together with his second wife Anna Nikitichna Burnazyan.
The print features the fine detail and characteristic warm sepia tone typical of albumen photography. It is mounted on its original card and represents a classic example of high-quality studio portraiture from the Russian Empire.
The front bears a historical handwritten inscription “I. K. Aivazovsky.” The reverse carries an older handwritten collector or archival note identifying the artist and his wife.
