The NBY Radial Engine III blends modern watchmaking with the aesthetics of historic aircraft engines. Its dial is inspired by the mechanics of radial airplane engines: three rotating hour discs are arranged like the star-shaped cylinders of a classic radial engine around the skeletonized central bridge, which visually echoes a propeller hub. Fine concentric patterns reference the cooling fins of early aero engines, while the cleanly styled numerals evoke the functional look of analog cockpit instruments. The upper minute scale enhances legibility by acting as a precise orientation line above the central disc mechanism. Powering the watch is a mechanical automatic movement by Miyota, equipped with 21 jewels, a 40-hour power reserve, and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, forming a reliable foundation for the integrated NBY Radial Engine Module. Together with the domed sapphire crystal, the 40-mm stainless-steel case, and the strap made from a combination of leather and flexible polymer featuring internal ventilation ribs for improved comfort, the watch achieves a balanced fusion of engineering, design, and wearability.
