- is Pink Floyd's fifth studio album and was first released in October 1970. The album is named after the title track ‘Atom Heart Mother’, which takes up the entire first side of the vinyl and is divided into several parts.
It was the band's first album to continue the success of their previous works such as ‘Ummagumma’ and ‘More’ and marked their transition from psychedelic rock to progressive rock.

‘Atom Heart Mother’ received a mixed reception from critics, but it was commercially successful and reached high chart positions in various countries.

The album marked a period of musical evolution for Pink Floyd and paved the way for later masterpieces such as ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’.

It is a fascinating example of the band's versatility and experimental nature in the early 1970s.
