Numerous contemporary handwritten corrections, notes and annotations (approx. 20% of the volume).
These strongly suggest this copy served as a printer’s or workshop proof copy,
never intended for commercial sale, but rather used in-house to prepare for a revised edition.

Format: ca. 15.7 × 9.7 × 6 cm

Binding: later leather binding, solid, with signs of use

Condition: age-related wear, foxing and stains throughout, damaged frontispiece mounted,
numerous marginalia and corrections, but structurally sound and complete
