Nephrite is a variety of jade. The name "Nephrite Jade" originates from Spanish and means "kidney stone" or "lumbar stone." The Maya and Olmecs believed in its positive effects on the kidneys and body detoxification. Particularly, the indigenous peoples of South America, especially the Maya and Olmecs, used nephrite to create valuable artworks and statues. It is believed that nephrite works best on the heart chakra.
The nephrite jade gemstones are crafted here in the form of a sculpture/freeform. Since each stone is unique, there may be variations in color, texture, and size.
