Corné Nuham

Corné Nuham (South Africa, 1972) is a contemporary sculptor based in San Sebastián, Spain, whose work explores the relationship between matter, structure and space. Working primarily with welded iron, Nuham develops a sculptural language influenced by architecture and the principles of Brutalism. His compositions are built through the direct assembly of metal elements, creating forms in which volume, openings, balance and structural tension play an essential role. Visible welds, irregular surfaces and natural patinas are integral to his work. Rather than concealing the construction process, he allows the material to retain its character and the traces of its transformation. His sculptures often suggest architectural structures without becoming functional objects or literal representations. Each piece establishes its own relationship with the surrounding space, revealing different perspectives as the viewer moves around it. All sculptures offered through this account are original works by Corné Nuham, coming directly from the artist's studio in San Sebastián, Spain.
