Hyperrealistic painting, oil on canvas, by Belgian artist Jef van de Gehuchte. Depiction of flowers in a copper vase, accompanied by a metal bucket. Pay attention to the extremely fine details and the beautiful light in this work.

Artist biography
Jef van de Gehuchte is a Belgian artist, born in Turnhout in 1946. He was a still life painter and photographer. From a young age, he was impressed by painting and took lessons at various academies. He worked, among others, under Jan Vaerten, Louis Van De Leur, and Jan Flameng. He carefully and harmoniously composed his still lifes. The materials from which the depicted objects are made, such as copper, tin, glass, pottery, or rusty tin, are depicted meticulously and realistically. He also worked in fashion, advertising, and press photography. Jef van de Gehuchte is listed in Two Centuries of Signatures by Belgian Artists. (Piron)
