Description from the seller

Rare Austrian souvenir ashtray from Berwang (Tyrol) featuring a three-dimensional shepherd boy figure with a movable (wobbling) head.

The object is made of metal (zinc alloy / zinc die-casting) and is hand-painted. The head is stored separately and is freely movable, giving the piece a playful, mechanical character. Such ashtrays were mainly produced in alpine tourism regions during the mid-20th century (around 1940-1950) and are now rarely preserved, especially with functioning mechanics.

The front side bears the place name 'Bezwang', and the back side is marked with 'Made in Austria', thereby clearly establishing the origin.

Good age-appropriate condition with original patina and age-related paint wear. No structural damage. Wobble-head mechanism functional.

Measurements, weight, and color scheme have already been provided separately.
