Description from the seller
This painting by Ricardo Gómez de Cádiz is an emotional cascade of pigments, where color flows with intensity and depth. The vibrant, textured vertical bands evoke a spiritual energy that unfolds from the warm center towards the shadowy edges, creating an enveloping visual tension.
The drip and chromatic mixing technique suggests a visceral, almost ritual gesture that transforms the canvas into a space of contemplation. More than just representation, the work invites you to feel: it is a mystical descent, a pictorial vibration that connects with the intangible.
Ricardo Gómez de Cádiz studied Graphic Design and Fine Arts at the Massana School in Barcelona. He also studied drawing and painting at the Leonardo da Vinci School in Barcelona and further expanded his art studies with painters Josep Pomès and Caritat Gómez. Although his greatest inspiration and experience have been self-taught, he has taught painting at the Torre Lloveta Center in Barcelona. A painter skilled in multiple techniques, he constantly explores new forms. His painting style is very diverse, covering themes such as the Bauhaus movement, Cubism, geometric art, and inspiration from his travels to Africa, establishing him as a reference in African art in Spain. He has also created numerous works inspired by realism, impressionism, and pop art. His influences include great masters of modern art such as Van Gogh, Mondrian, Dalí, Picasso, Modigliani, Pollock, and Monet. He has held exhibitions at the La Sagrera Center in Barcelona, the Sant Martí Center in Barcelona, and the Les Franqueses City Hall, with notable collaborations as a painter on the Facilísimo forum and in the Mantarraya magazine from Mexico. His paintings are part of private collections in Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, France, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Luxembourg, Poland, the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Estonia, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, China, Taiwan, Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, and Colombia.
