After several weeks of work, I am proud to present to you this triptych:
I wanted to capture the contradictions of humanity: our ability to create and destroy, to love and to dominate.
First panel: The World Before (Eden and the beginnings)
In this scene, you explore a paradise where humans live in harmony with nature but are already influenced by ideas of technology, power, and modern love. Symbols like Adam and Eve, the apple, and rainbows evoke origins, while contemporary elements like likes, emojis, and the heart-shaped balloon show a paradise already opening up to the influence of modernity.
Before chaos: a paradise of harmony and innocence. But already, seeds of modernity are slipping into the garden. Adam and Eve, surrounded by elements of emerging technologies, digitalized love, and contemporary symbols, are about to bite into the forbidden fruit. Between promise and naivety, this panel questions us: what if paradise has always carried within it the seeds of downfall?
Second Panel: 'The Modern World' – Debauchery and Consumption
The central panel depicts a humanity in full decadence, dominated by consumption and excess. Gigantic yachts sail among destroyed landscapes, while iconic brands (McDonald's, Universal) crush nature. Monopoly tokens become the symbol of a society where everything is a game of power, money, and domination.
The deadly sins, embodied in human figures and luxury objects, unfold with force: lust, greed, avarice, and pride intertwine in a frantic dance.
Man's domination over nature, fleeting pleasures, and the consequences of an insatiable pursuit of wealth. This panel serves as a critical mirror of our era, reflecting both the power and fragility of our modern structures.
Third Panel: 'The World After' – The Foretold Destruction
In a striking contrast, the last panel darkens into an apocalyptic atmosphere. Flames engulf the landscape, pollution suffocates the last remnants of life, and modern symbols become tools of destruction: demonstrating an irreversible climate trigger, syringes symbolizing addictions, bitcoins and screens representing greed.
Ruined cities and emaciated bodies testify to humanity's inability to change its course. The deadly sins, far from having disappeared, are transforming into chains that condemn humanity.
Central theme: The consequences of our choices. This panel depicts a dystopian future, reminding us that inaction in the face of current crises inevitably leads to destruction.
Teejo is a contemporary French artist. He modernizes old works by great masters by reinventing them with his own vision. He aims to reintroduce to the whole world old paintings by great masters, sometimes forgotten over time. His passion for classical art has allowed him to develop his talent. He has also created new original works combining poetry, satire, prevention, and imagination, conveying many messages through his creations. These works are sold worldwide.
He creates his works using digital tools and enjoys mixing and revisiting techniques to achieve the best results. He is also the designer of 'perceptual duality,' a graphic innovation registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property that allows multiple images to be seen in a single painting through colored glasses.
