Description from the seller

Print on silver halide paper signed in black ink beneath the image.
Tony Frank
In 1961, I listened to rock: Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Tommy Steele, and I frequented the Golf-Drouot, where in front of the jukebox I would find Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell, Long Chris, and his Daltons. That was my first record cover. Around the same time, I sneaked onto the Olympia rooftops to see and try to photograph Louis Armstrong's show: kicked out by four or five professionals, I managed to get backstage, then into Armstrong's dressing room — my first press publication on the front page of a major newspaper. After some collaborations with music-hall magazines (the term used at the time for showbiz) and record covers, I joined the Salut les Copains team in 1964/65. We live our passions (I repeat: photography and music). We don’t feel like we’re doing real work.
