Montblanc Patron of Art Pope Julius II fountain pen, with a solid silver vermeil body and cap gold-plated, 18K gold nib (dated 2005) and serial 3024/4810, origin Germany, length 146 mm, diameter 13 mm, piston-filler in working order and in good used condition with minor age-related signs.
Description from the seller
The Montblanc Patron of Art – Pope Julius II fountain pen is in very good overall condition, with a solid and distinguished appearance, in line with a high-end piece with a strong historical character.
The body and cap in solid vermeil silver (sterling silver with gold plating) retain a warm, uniform shine, showing slight micro-surface signs typical of occasional use and the passage of time, visible only upon close inspection. No dents, dings, or deformations are apparent, maintaining excellent structural integrity and an imposing presence.
The embossed decorative details, characteristic of this Patron of Art edition, are well defined, with no significant wear, enhancing the Renaissance-inspired architectural design. The Montblanc emblem at the top of the cap remains intact and sharp.
The original Montblanc fountain pen made of solid 18K gold (750), dated 2005, is in excellent structural condition, properly aligned, and free of visible damages. It clearly retains the engravings “4810”, “18K / 750”, and the exclusive motifs of the edition. The nib shows minimal and uniform wear, consistent with very moderate use.
The integrated piston charging system operates smoothly and correctly, without jams or play, confirming good internal mechanical condition. The cap closure is firm and secure.
Conclusion
Overall, it is an original, authentic, and well-preserved piece that combines artistic, historical, and collectible value, making it ideal for both collectors of the Patron of Art series and those seeking an exceptional Montblanc pen with a strong presence and high build quality.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
