A four-case wooden inrō, entirely lacquered and gilt, decorated with numerous vases depicted in various positions.
Japanese lacquerware (漆器, shikki) represents one of Japan's most celebrated artistic traditions. These works combine durability and brilliance with intricate decorative techniques such as maki-e and nashiji.
The inrō is in good condition. There are signs of age and wear to the lacquer, particularly along the edges and corners. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL or FedEx, accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy.
