Description from the seller

A rare artifact from the late 18th century, typical of work carried out on ships and galleons by corsairs, buccaneers, pirates, slaves, or prisoners during long ocean crossings.
Object made of wood, bone, and metal depicting a flintlock pistol from the period, with very well-preserved carvings and stunning details.
Very difficult to find such well-preserved ones, with the year of manufacture (1764) engraved. Probably carved to become a gift once it arrived at the port. Only a small damage to one eye, visible in the photo.
A very rare object and difficult to find.
