Description from the seller
Special work by Ad Snijders.
Signed on the back. Oil paint on canvas, in good condition. Canvas dimensions: 25 x 18 cm.
Ad Snijders (1929 – 2010) was an Eindhoven-based artist, drawer, collagist, and sculptor. He started drawing at the age of twelve and essentially never stopped. His style can be best described as expressionist, figurative art.
Both Snijders' themes and his way of working aligned with events in the time periods in which he worked. As a result, his work was always relevant.
Ad Snijders's work has been exhibited since 1957 in leading galleries and museums both domestically and internationally. His work has been shown at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and several times at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven.
The work comes directly from the atelier of the heirs of Ad Snijders, and its authenticity is thus guaranteed.
