The Martinez MCG-20 CEF has a laminated spruce top and laminated sapele sides/back.
Due to the extensive top bracing against the top plate these guitars have excellent tone.

The Martinez 20DEF classical guitar is built according to the Spanish tradition.
With 'Spanish heel' construction.
This construction method is often seen in handmade Spanish classical guitars.
In this construction, the inside and outside of the heel are one piece and are mortised, after which the sides can be slid in.
The result is a very stable neck construction, fewer joints, and thus excellent tone.
In terms of tone, the guitar is bright and open
