Gouache on paper by Yvon Taillandier titled Le rameur, original edition from 2000–2010, 25 × 33 cm, France, signed, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Beautiful gouache on paper, very interesting and typical of Yvon Taillandier, who is a French painter, sculptor, writer, and art critic, born on March 28, 1926, in Paris 15th arrondissement, and died on March 3, 2018, in Avignon.
He therefore died in Avignon on March 3, 2018
Since April 13, 2018, three drawings by the artist, made in 1971 (felt and gouache on paper, 50 × 65 cm), have been on deposit at the Presidency of the Republic[5].
In 2019, the city of Avignon accepted the donation of the artist's collection bequeathed by his wife. No fewer than 500 works have been inventoried and will be exhibited by 2025 at the Hôtel de Beaumont de Teste, which will be renamed the Yvon Taillandier Cultural Center[6],[7]. In addition to the artist's paintings, drawings, and painted furniture, the collection also includes his library, manuscripts, and artist's books; it also contains some pieces of folk art, works, and lithographs by his artist friends: Joan Miró, Alberto Giacometti, Man Ray, Serge Poliakoff, and Jean-Pierre Raynaud[5],[6].
