Description from the seller
Oil on canvas
Measurements: 65x44 cm
Description:
Original work created in oil on canvas, featuring a female portrait filled with intimacy and subtlety. The figure emerges from a dark and deep background, creating a strong contrast with the luminosity of the skin, which is rendered with great delicacy in the tonal transitions.
The contained gesture, the gaze partially veiled by hair, and the use of warm tones in lips and clothing create an atmosphere of mystery, sensuality, and emotional silence. The composition invites the viewer to a close, almost confidential contemplation, where the expressive strength does not come from an explicit gesture but from suggestion.
The realistic treatment, combined with soft and enveloping lighting, enhances the contemporary character of the piece, making it an ideal work for collectors of modern portraiture and expressive figuration.
Visual artist and designer with a degree in theater arts, specializing in scenic design, from the Higher Institute of Art, Cuba. She specializes in creating portraits and paintings that explore identity, emotion, and the visual narrative of human beings. She combines technical design knowledge, integrating color, light, and composition in an expressive way.
