Serviced Commodore 1541C disk drive - new capacitors - including demo disk
Up for auction is a professionally refurbished Commodore 1541C disk drive. This is the later 'beige/white' model, originally released to match the C64C, and is known for its improved internal electronics compared to the older brown models.
This unit has been fully serviced to ensure long-term reliability.
Full Recap: All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with high-quality new ones (brands: Nichicon, Panasonic, Vishay).
Mechanical overhaul: The drive was completely disassembled, cleaned, and re-lubricated. The rails were treated with silicone oil and the spindle with machine oil for smooth operation.
- Calibration & Testing: The drive head has been cleaned, and the unit has been tested for alignment. It loads software quickly and quietly.
Updated aesthetics: the original power and status LEDs were replaced with new ones, as the originals had become dim over time.
Included in this lot: Commodore 1541C Disk Drive, power cable, serial (DIN6) cable, original Commodore 1541 Test/Demo Diskette.
