Description from the seller

Kiss, Alive! tour, RAI Congress Center Amsterdam, 1976, C-print on 210 g/m2 Fujifilm Professional Art Paper. Size 30x40cm, Edition 7/200.

In the 1970s, Gijsbert Hanekroot worked as a freelance photographer based in Amsterdam, where he had a studio (Berenstraat 18). His main assignment was the bi-weekly music magazine Muziekkrant Oor (Ear), but he also worked for daily newspapers and magazines. He covered concerts, interviews, press receptions, and studio photoshoots. Those were the golden years of rock music, when the big names recorded their first and second albums, working hard to make their breakthrough.

Hanekroot: 'It must have taken them an hour and a half to change and do makeup for a photo shoot. No problem — it's worth waiting to take such shots.'

Recently, Gijsberts' photos were exhibited in locations including Paris, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam. He also published several books.
