WINE VARIETIES: Traditional from Douro Region.
VINIFICATION
In the hands of our winemakers, time is a tool. Old and young wines are expertly blended with one eye on how they complement each other now, and the other on what the port will be like after 20 years spent in century-old casks.
TASTING NOTES
Cockburn’s 20-Year-Old has an appealing amber color. On the nose, a delicate and complex bouquet of fruitcake, honey, and walnuts blends with hints of orange peel. Smooth and velvety on the palate, it is wellbalanced with dried fruit aromas, leading to a long and lingering finish.
SERVING
Cockburn’s 20-Year-Old pairs beautifully with walnuts, dried fruits, and traditional Portuguese desserts but is also delicious alongside vanilla ice cream or crème brûlée.
DESCRIPTION
Cockburn's has always questioned the so-called ‘rules’for making port. Founded in1815 by theScottish brothers Robert and John Cockburn, they wereguided by their conviction that“thequality ofthewine – thatis thefirstthing to be looked to” – and we’vedoneour ownthings ever since.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a recurring auction. The seal number(s) you see on the photos might differ from the one(s) on your bottle(s).
