Art is rich in the Kongo country. Within the stylistic corpus of objects from the DRC, many are animals, among them dogs. Indeed, in Kongo iconography, dogs are endowed with four eyes for this world and two for the other, which explains great clairvoyance. The Bakisi are earth spirits; objects have value only if they are consecrated by Nganga who add magical and various ingredients.
