Very beautiful rare vintage, known as the 'Fishes and Scales' by Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher.
It is a woodcut made in July 1959.
The work is an example of tessellation, where interlocking fish shapes seamlessly cover the surface without gaps or overlaps.
The design shows two simultaneous transformations: the change in fish shapes and the scale patterns on their bodies.
This artwork is a well-known example of Op Art and illustrates Escher's fascination with mathematical structures.
Originally created by the Dutch artist M.C. Escher Heirs
It is made on thick paper.
Signed in the plate
Period: 1998
Subject: a rare Verkerke Gallery Edition, read the text on the poster.
Contains no pixels lithographic print.
