The painter Peter Brouwer, the artist of the direct colors, was born in Utrecht on August 1, 1935. Peter lived and worked in Utrecht and studied at the Evening Academy, where he was a student of the renowned John Bevort, Laurens Tuinman, Cor van Diggelen, Henk Bellaard, a teacher at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam, and his uncle P. Brouwer. He also learned a great deal from his numerous study trips through Italy and Spain, as well as his exhibitions in New York and Germany.
