Description from the seller
I'll eventually do something else, oil on MDF, 30 x 25 cm, 2025.
Oil painting on 1 cm thick MDF board.
Support prepared on all sides.
Paint with varnish (removable).
Signed and dated on the back.
The painting belongs to a series titled "The Great Catsby," started in 2020, which has as its theme the imposing behavior of cats.
This series, composed of small-format oil paintings, is primarily inspired by Eastern art and Art Nouveau, chiefly through the use of ornate, standardized, and geometric elements.
In these works, priority is given to chromatic and compositional harmony, through elements, objects, or patterns conceived and/or assembled in Photoshop to create unique environments for each painting.
The works of this series can be distinguished by their use of frontalism and the lack of perspective in the background, as well as by the decorated and/or geometric objects and planes that surround and exalt the figure of the cat.
Patrícia Trindade is a Portuguese artist who has participated in exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, France, Denmark, Latvia, Mexico, the USA, Montenegro, and others. She has works in public collections of international museums and pieces in private collections across Europe.
