Description from the seller
Brigitte Bardot, Cannes 1956 by Vittorio Pavan, vintage black and white film photograph.
Vittorio Pavan
In 1972, at the age of 14, Vittorio was hired by Cameraphoto, the largest photojournalism agency in Venice at the time.
He participates in the development and production of black and white photographic services for the national and international press such as 'Il Corriere della Sera', 'La Stampa', 'Der Spiegel', 'Time', and 'Life'.
A few years later, the management of the Palazzo Ducale commissioned the agency to produce photographic reproductions of all the paintings in the palace, and Vittorio took thousands of photos using the optical bench (large-format films 13x18 cm). The Palace also entrusted them with reproducing a large number of old engravings.
In 1987, Vittorio took over the agency and continued the relationship with the Palazzo Ducale through a photographic commission that covered all phases of the restoration of the frescoes, paintings, sculptures, and friezes.
In addition to reproducing artworks, he produces black and white silver prints and digital art prints for professionals and artists. His clients include Araki, Fulvio Roiter, Giorgia Fiorio, and Danilo De Marchi.
In parallel with his activity as a photographer and printer, for about five years he has been dedicated to highlighting and preserving my archives, 'Archivio Cameraphoto Epoche.'
