Mario Padovan (1927) - Bianco 00214/628

Starting from the seventies, Mario Padovan introduced geometric shapes into his artistic production, initially emphasizing the spiral and then, definitively, the square, depicted both on the plane and in space.
In the 1980s, the geometry of the solid square was explored in all its possible variants, resulting in a long series of works.
The research on the square culminates in 1984, when Padovan is invited to hold a solo exhibition at the Venice Biennale. The works presented there represent the pinnacle of his conceptual and formal research.
