Aldona Wawszczyk, born on November 23, 1965, in Chorzów, is a painter whose work primarily focuses on the female experience and emotionality. A self-taught artist with passion and intuition, she has been associated with the artistic community for years.
Her focus is on the figure of a woman. The artist attempts to understand and depict what femininity is in the spiritual, emotional, and social dimensions. In her paintings, women are both strong and fragile, sensual and contemplative, immersed in introspection.
Wawszczyk often operates with contrast, combining realism with elements of expression and mood. Her works emanate warmth, melancholy, and deep reflection on identity. Each image is a form of dialogue – with herself, with the viewer, and with the female world of emotions.
