Description from the seller
Oil paint on plywood panel
A panoramic winter landscape with a high sky.
Painted by the artist Joop Smits.
The artist Joop Smits was born in the Netherlands, in the city of Eindhoven, and in 1961, he attended the art academy in his hometown. From a young age, drawing and painting were his great passions. In 1992, he built a studio in Ireland, and in 2002, another in Mallorca, where he has lived permanently since 2008.
The artist worked seven days a week, almost seeming to be fused with his paintings. The many lonely hours spent passionately working appear to be reflected in the calm, remote, unvisited, and pristine panoramic landscapes. These were landscapes in which he worked almost photographically precise, with meticulous care and accuracy. Brightness and serene clarity permeate these refined 'windows' that reveal an unperturbed kind of nature.

The size of the work is 60 by 80 cm.
