【Product details】

This elegant two-tier jubako bento box is crafted in the renowned Wajima lacquer tradition, featuring a glossy black lacquer exterior adorned with orchid flower motifs. The interior is finished in rich vermilion lacquer, creating a striking contrast with the refined exterior decoration.

The Orchid flower symbolises purity, dignity, and the quiet strength found in modest beauty. In Japanese art, it is often associated with refinement and the arrival of spring.

Wajima lacquerware is known for its exceptional durability and craftsmanship. Each piece is created through a labour-intensive process involving over 23 stages and more than 124 individual steps. This results in lacquerware that is both robust and exquisitely finished, showcasing the finest skills of master artisans. The lines and details of the orchid design are finely executed, demonstrating the precision and elegance characteristic of Wajima-nuri.

Good used condition with minor blemishes. Please refer to the photos for details.
