An 20th century hanging ikebana vase crafted in the shape of a small boat, made from natural bamboo with a fitted inner cylinder that includes a copper lining. The metal lining helps hold water securely and is typical of traditional bamboo flower vessels. A kenzan is not included.
The surface shows ageing consistent with its age and material. There is one prominent crack near the upper section, along with some minor cracks in other areas. The lacquered rim has chips and losses, and there are traces of old insect holes, small missing sections, patina, dirt, and areas of green corrosion on the copper.
