Japan-made Showa-period rattan flower basket with a tall handle and bamboo insert, in reddish-brown tones with an irregular weave, approx. 36.3 cm high, 19 cm wide and 20 cm deep, in fair to good used condition with age-related wear and a minor crack in the bamboo insert.

This is a Showa-period rattan flower basket with a tall handle, crafted in an expressive, free-form woven style. The basket has rich reddish-brown tones and an intentionally irregular weave that gives it a natural, sculptural character. It comes with a bamboo insert for holding water or flowers.
The surface shows age-related wear, discolouration and noticeable grime. The bamboo insert has one minor crack. Fair to good used condition. Please refer to the photos for details.
