Iconic original press photograph showing Buzz Aldrin walking on the surface of the Moon during the historic Apollo 11 mission. This image captures Aldrin near the Lunar Module Eagle during the first extravehicular activity (EVA) on July 20, 1969.

The photograph offered here is not a modern reprint, but an authentic BBC Picture Publicity working press print, distributed for television and press use in connection with the BBC documentary “One Small Step – Man on the Moon (Part Two)” (BBC-2).
The reverse retains the original BBC typed publicity caption, identifying Aldrin, the mission context, and noting that the photograph was taken by Neil A. Armstrong using a 70mm lunar surface camera.
