Description from the seller
The Bowmore Aston Martin Masters' Selection is a prestigious series of limited-edition Islay single malt whiskies, born from a collaboration between Bowmore Distillery's master blender Ron Welsh and Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman. This partnership blends the artistry of whisky maturation with luxury automotive design across four editions, primarily 21- and 22-year-olds. Each release showcases Bowmore's signature coastal peat smoke elevated by premium cask finishes like American Tawny Port oak, Oloroso sherry butts, American oak hogsheads, and European oak, delivering complex profiles of roasted nuts, dark fruits, tropical notes, chocolate, and elegant turf.Core Editions OverviewEdition 1 (21 Years, 51.8% ABV): Sherry-dominant maturation yields dark fruits, nuts, chocolate, and mild peat with a lightly bitter edge.Edition 2 (22 Years, 51.5% ABV): American oak hogsheads and sherry bring mango, papaya, honey, coffee, salinity, and refined smoke.Edition 3 (22 Years, 51-52% ABV): Blends American/European oak with sherry for ripe fruits, herbs, robust oak structure, and rich sweetness.Edition 4 (21 Years, Final Release 2024): Tawny Port and Oloroso sherry casks deliver roasted nuts, salted toffee, orange zest, spices, and a long, dry peaty finish.Unified Flavor ProfileAcross editions, the nose opens with nutty sweetness (hazel, walnut, chestnut), leather, pipe tobacco, dark chocolate, dried fruits (sultanas, raisins), maple syrup, and subtle tropical citrus like mango or lychee. The palate offers an oily richness of salted toffee, honey, grilled orange peel, milk/dark chocolate, coffee, oak spices (pepper, cinnamon, thyme), and restrained medicinal peat. The finish lingers warmly with velvet texture, dry turf smoke, herbal notes, and coastal salinity.Ideal for savoring neat or with a drop of water as a premium digestif, this series celebrates matured elegance perfect for special occasions or a high-end mobile bar lineup.
