Artist's Biography
Born in Barcelona in 1944, where he studied at the School of Fine Arts. After a scholarship stay in Paris and New York, he settled in London in 1968, where art critics Cirici Pellicer and Corredor-Matheos recognized him as the initiator and representative of the young Catalan vanguard of Arte Povera and Conceptual art. In London, he continued his postgraduate studies at the Slade School of Fine Arts (University of London), at the Royal College of Art in London, and finally, the University of Barcelona awarded him a Doctorate in Painting. In London, he held prestigious positions such as Director of Fine Arts and Aesthetic Theory at Kensington and Chelsea College. He has exhibited extensively in London and other countries. His recent pictorial work shows the use of multiple spaces that evoke elements inspired by gardens and imaginary landscapes, where images float freely of gravity's force, and colors and textures combine through harmonic sequences that resemble those of a musical composition.
