Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960 but with Piedmontese roots. From his early works, it is evident the great fascination that 20th-century Italian art has exercised on him, with great masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà, and de Chirico. Over his forty years of artistic career, he has held more than seventy solo exhibitions and numerous artistic events, including TV broadcasts entirely dedicated to him. The artistic work of Maestro Rolfi has been discussed by the most important journalistic outlets, television stations, and radio broadcasters. Among the most significant events are the grand exhibition 'Centoeventigiorni' held at Santa Maria degli Angeli in Rome in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano Museum in Rome; the solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palace of Culture in Reggio Calabria; and the BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi.
The Maestro's paintings have been used as set designs for the GEO broadcast on Rai 3 for about 6 years.
His works are present in many important Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada, and throughout the rest of Europe.
The work is a marine painting, a beloved subject of the Maestro, in which he recalls the memories and atmospheres of beautiful summers past in Tuscany. The piece comes with a signed and stamped certificate of authenticity and is shipped via FedEx courier.
