Description from the seller
A S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 Small lighter, made in Paris, France, during the 1970s, is presented. This model, crafted in solid silver (Ag 925), stands out for its characteristic horizontal line guilloché finish, a sober and elegant design that reflects Dupont's artisanal mastery during its golden era of gasoline lighter production.
General condition
The lighter is in very good condition, showing a natural superficial patina typical of silver, with no losses or deformations in the structure. The surface maintains its well-defined guilloché texture, with the engraved lines clearly visible.
The lid maintains its firm and precise fit, producing the characteristic clear and clean metallic sound ('cling') when opening and closing, an unmistakable sign of authenticity and proper mechanical maintenance.
The ignition system functions correctly, generating a steady spark and a stable blue flame after recharging, which confirms the good operational condition of the internal mechanism.
The lighter has been tested and shows a steady flame and continuous ignition, with functional regulation via the lower screw. All components — wheel, stone, wick, and tank — are in operational condition, with no corrosion or alterations.
Presentation
It is offered without box or original documentation, but with overall condition better than average for its age. The structural and mechanical condition allows for both daily use and inclusion in a high-end collection.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
Professional conclusion
Authentic, original, and fully functional specimen, representative of S.T. Dupont's savoir-faire during its gasoline lighter era. Its preservation, mechanical integrity, and solid silver finish make it a highly collectible piece, ideal for lovers of vintage luxury objects or for a collector seeking a classic Dupont in a compact format.
