Description from the seller
This S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 Godron lighter in gold-plated finish presents a general vintage use condition, with visible signs that attest to both its age and authenticity.
The gold finish retains its characteristic shine, although it shows surface wear from friction and small scratch marks distributed across the surface, mainly on the edges and the base. These marks do not compromise the structure of the lighter but are consistent with an item manufactured in the 1980s.
The base clearly displays the inscription 'S.T. Dupont Paris – Made in France,' along with the serial number 15CEG82, which certifies its authenticity and allows dating it to around 1982. The engraving and logo are well-defined.
The ignition mechanism functions correctly: the roller turns smoothly and easily produces a spark, igniting the flame steadily, as shown in the images. The lid opens and closes with the characteristic clean and sharp metallic click, although a slight play is noticeable due to continued use.
The gas tank is in intact condition, with functional threads and no cracks, although it shows signs of handling from previous refills.
Overall, it is a piece that is fully functional, retaining its aesthetic and collectible appeal, despite showing the natural wear of its more than four decades of life.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
