We present the Marlen Moai Collection
The Moai are an extremely fascinating people, to whom Marlen dedicates this limited edition collection.
The pens depict several statues located on Easter Island. Most are monolithic, meaning they were quarried and carved from a single block of volcanic tuff; some have a squat cylinder (pukao) on their heads, carved from another type of reddish tuff, interpreted as a headdress or the then-common hairstyle. The Moai statues range in height from 2.5 to 10 meters (one measures 21 meters, but is incomplete).
The cap top is silver, engraved with the Marlen logo. A series of bronze and Italian resin rings in various colors compose the cap, which features a personalized bronze band with the collection name and a series of Moai statues. A bronze clip completes the cap.
A large silver band depicts bronze Moai statues at the top and bottom. The pommel is made of black Italian resin and conceals the piston filler. The nib is 18-karat gold.
