Mara Barotti presents Variazioni sul mare, a 2024 original mixed‑media maritime landscape on wood panel (42 × 52 cm, 500 g) in multicolour tones, signed by hand on the front and back, in excellent condition, from Italy.
Description from the seller
Artwork made with acrylic and oil-based plasters on a wooden panel, with oil pastel application done with fingers, creating a deep intimacy with the piece, which is finished with a glossy varnish.
Hand-signed on the front and back.
It depicts the variation of colors at dawn over the sea.
It is shipped protected by glassine paper, styrofoam, bubble wrap, and placed in a cardboard box.
Artist's biography
My first approaches to painting occurred with Mara Barotti about 20 years ago, taking courses at various schools in Rovigo, Bologna, Florence, Rome, and Padua, with particular interest in realistic and hyper-realistic portraiture.
His/Her journey underwent various changes until reaching the abstract techniques of Cubism.
Intense colors have become the distinctive signature of his works.
He participated in competitions and exhibitions, receiving recognitions including fourth place at the Contemporary Art Talent.
Padua Fair
The change to seek the true artistic expression that represents the moments of his life is the purpose of his painting.
