An exceptional gold-plated Dunhill Rollagas gas lighter with the rare longitudinal lined (vertical fluted) body pattern, manufactured in Switzerland circa late 1960s to early 1970s. This is one of Dunhill’s most recognisable and enduring classic designs. Visually, the lighter presents as if it has spent its life carefully stored rather than used: the gilding is uniform and bright across the entire surface, the edges remain crisp and sharp, and the markings are clear and well defined.
The base is stamped with the US RE 24163 patent number and “Made in Switzerland,” while the interior of the lid bears the original Dunhill logo, confirming authenticity and high manufacturing quality. All details visible in the photographs support the impression of an exceptionally well-preserved example.
The lighter is in full working order. The lid closes cleanly, and the roller mechanism operates smoothly and precisely. In accordance with shipping regulations, it will be dispatched completely de-gassed; the buyer will simply need to refill it with gas and insert a flint.
This example is offered with its original Dunhill presentation box with velvet insert, making it an excellent acquisition for a serious collector or a refined and distinguished gift.
