Parker Lucky Curve True Blue fountain pen from the transition period 1931–1932, with a True Blue cap in pearl blue cellulose and an amber-laminated body, 14k gold nib, 126.4 mm long and 10.5 mm in diameter, in working order and in good condition.
Description from the seller
This example of the Parker Lucky Curve True Blue, from the transition period of 1931–1932, is presented in an exceptional state of preservation within its category. It is a historic piece whose original blend of True Blue celluloid on the cap and Amber Laminated celluloid on the body makes it a rare variant, highly valued by collectors of pre-Vacumatic Parker.
The cap retains the characteristic pearlized blue celluloid with marbled veins in ivory tones, typical of the original True Blue model. Its surface maintains the natural shine and texture of the material without cracks or deformations, which is particularly notable in pieces of this age. The clip with PARKER engraving remains firmly attached, well aligned, with minor but uniform gold wear, while the three gold rings remain intact and properly seated in the cap's structure.
The body, made of laminated amber celluloid, is also well preserved. It exhibits a deep shine and a characteristic transparency that is very well maintained, with no signs of crystallization or deterioration of the material. The Lucky Curve engraving is legible, a faithful testament to an early production that is increasingly difficult to find. The base and the lever show natural aging typical of metal, without affecting the mechanical integrity of the piece.
The 14-karat gold nib, engraved with the Parker brand, shows excellent structural integrity: the tines are aligned, the tip is clean and free of deformations, and the surface retains its original tone. The ebonite feed, with its characteristic grooved structure, appears complete and in very good condition.
The button load mechanism functions correctly, with a firm lever and no play, indicating proper maintenance and responsible preservation over time. The threads of the cap and body operate smoothly and precisely, without excessive wear.
Overall, this Parker Lucky Curve True Blue transitional pen represents an extraordinary example of historical preservation: authentic, aesthetically coherent, functional, and highly collectible. Its condition makes it an ideal piece both for serious collectors and for those seeking a vintage fountain pen with its own character and an unmistakable identity within the Parker legacy.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
