ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this painting, a precisely planned circular arrangement of colored spots is juxtaposed with spontaneous splashes. A controlled, orderly structure is disrupted by unpredictable drips, introducing movement and tension into the composition.
The work explores the balance between system and accident, where an underlying order remains visible while gravity and chance intervene on the surface.

Dr Drip is an artist with a background in graffiti and street art, which informs the conceptual and material approach of this series.

Seller's Story
Born in Rome in 1987 to a family of Croatian roots, Kapitolina Volkova is currently based in the Netherlands. She studied Art History at Sapienza University of Rome and moved to Amsterdam in 2012, where she attended the Amsterdam University of the Arts.
Over the years, she has contributed to various international publications and media outlets, collaborated with artists on monographs, books, and catalogues, and curated several gallery exhibitions.
Kapitolina now works as an agent and promoter for a small group of contemporary artists. She currently represents a few artists, including Dr Drip and Steve Manfredi, whose works are regularly featured on Catawiki. Kapitolina ensures smooth communication, professional handling, and secure shipping. Buyers can expect timely updates and full transparency throughout the process.
