Sandro Chia (1946) - Padre e figli

Sandro Chia is a living artist, painter, and sculptor, and one of the leading figures of the Italian Transavanguardia movement (also known in Europe as Neo-Expressionism), alongside Francesco Clemente, Mimmo Paladino, Nicola De Maria, and Enzo Cucchi. He has spent much time divided between Italy and the United States, where he first traveled in the 1980s. His works initially appear conceptual, later evolving into a more figurative phase. In both phases, a common element can be observed: the dreamlike and surreal atmosphere that surrounds the protagonists.
