The box opens on a long, sturdy hinge and reveals several compartments, including sections suitable for rings, bracelets, brooches or small treasures. The interior is lined in soft velvet and the lid has a velvet-framed mirror. A lovely decorative and practical piece that shows it was used and cared for.
