The artist Nguyen Kim 1972
Born 53 years ago in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, Nguyen Kim is a painter whose work draws its strength and poetry from the lush landscapes, ancestral traditions, and cultural contrasts of this mythical region. A child of rivers, floating markets, and lily pad fields, he developed an early artistic sensibility nourished by nature, light, and scenes of daily life.

Trained at the Ho Chi Minh City School of Fine Arts in the 1990s, Nguyen Kim has gradually established himself as an original figure in contemporary Vietnamese painting. His style blends traditional ink and natural pigment techniques with modern approaches, creating compositions that are both powerful and delicate.

His works are distinguished by a vibrant palette, rich textures, and a unique way of creating a dialogue between realism, symbolism, and abstraction. Through his paintings, he explores themes such as memory, identity, spirituality, and the rapid evolution of Vietnamese society.

For more than three decades, Nguyen Kim has exhibited in Vietnam, Southeast Asia and North America. His exhibitions are enjoying increasing success with collectors, who appreciate his blend of authenticity, technical mastery and emotion.

Today, he is considered one of the most inspiring Vietnamese artists of his generation, proudly carrying on the legacy of the Mekong Delta while asserting a profoundly contemporary and universal vision.
