Music box - Italy - 1960-1970 - Carillon with inlay

Delicious vintage wooden jewelry box with inlaid decoration on the lid, resting on four black feet and complete with a functioning music box. Inside, there is a round mirror bordered with blue cord and two fabric-lined compartments in padded blue fabric, perfect for storing rings, earrings, and small jewelry. On the inside of the lid, the original small key for the front lock is attached. Dimensions approximately 17x11x7 cm. The wind-up musical mechanism from the bottom is working and plays when opening the lid, typical of Italian handcrafted inlaid wooden jewelry boxes from the 1960s/70s. Overall condition is good for its age: some signs of wear on the wood, a visible crack in the paint/decorative insert on the lid, and oxidation of the internal mirror, as shown in the photos; the interior is in good condition. An ideal piece both as a romantic decorative accessory in a bedroom or on a vanity, and for collectors of vintage music boxes and jewelry chests.
