Parker Vacumatic fountain pen, original, made in the United States, with a laminated celluloid body and cap, dating from the mid-20th century, in good used condition with minor signs of wear and in working order.
Description from the seller
Original Parker Vacumatic fountain pen, kept in very good overall condition for a vintage piece of its era, with signs of use consistent with its age and no signs of structural damage.
The laminated celluloid body and cap have an attractive shine, with micro surface marks typical of normal use. The Vacumatic pattern is well-defined, with partial functional transparency allowing the ink level to be seen. No cracks, fissures, or visible deformations are observed in the material.
The cap fits correctly and retains its original Parker clip with an arrow design, well-defined and straight, as well as the central gold band, which shows superficial wear and micro scratches typical of normal use, with no significant material loss.
The solid gold Parker nib is structurally intact, with no visible cracks or bends, and properly aligned. It shows a light patina and signs of use typical of age, maintaining an authentic, unrestored appearance.
The Vacumatic loading system has not been recently tested with ink. As is customary with this type of vintage pens, it may require diaphragm replacement for continued use, and a specialist's review is recommended before regular use.
Overall, it is an honest, well-preserved, and highly attractive specimen, ideal for both collection and use after review, representing one of the most iconic models of Parker.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
